Another excellent mini webstock. Main presenters Rob O'Callahan and Leigh Blackall followed by a debate in which Mark Cubey (from Radio NZ) got to wipe the floor with his opponents - and still lose.
I am full of admiration for Rob. He has come back to NZ, kept his job with the Mozilla foundation (think Firefox) and managed to persuade them to let him set up a development centre in Auckland (quietly, he is recruiting). Rob is in yr intrntz and in NZ.
Leigh's talk about 2nd Life was a revelation to me and it will be interesting to see how it affects our Internet activities over the next few years.
I got two minutes to announce the NZ open source awards. Still looking for nominations and more sponsors. As an aside I now know how Speilberg's Gremlins felt when exposed bright lights. It is like a wall between speaker and audience, quite disconcerting when you are not used to it.
Finally got to meet one of my favourite bloggers - Che Tibby. He is tall and, like David Slack over at Public Address, thinks I write like an old codger. Thanks Che, that's supposed to be my 'super cool' online persona.

super cool old codger?
